Trio SAMBESI 204169135 E27 outdoor wall light with motion sensor, wood effect

Trio SAMBESI 204169135 is an outdoor wall light with an integrated motion sensor and a clear cylindrical cover around the bulb. Its vertical backplate has a wood-effect finish, framed by anthracite-coloured details. The body is die-cast aluminium: the timber grain is a surface appearance, not an indication of a wooden housing.

Automatic switching belongs to this version

The built-in sensor switches the light on and off automatically when movement is detected nearby. When comparing SAMBESI fittings, check the full article number 204169135 rather than relying on the family name alone. The sensor sits in the lower part of the rectangular backplate, beneath the lantern-shaped light enclosure. It is part of the fitting rather than a separate accessory to select.

Choose the visible E27 bulb separately

There is one E27 socket for a bulb rated at no more than 28 W. The bulb is not included, and the manufacturer recommends an LED lamp. Brightness and colour temperature therefore depend on your chosen light source rather than being fixed properties of the housing. Because the cover is transparent, the appearance of the bulb also contributes to the finished look. Illuminated product photographs should not be read as confirmation that the pictured bulb comes in the box.

Check the projection before wall mounting

The fitting measures 33 cm high and 12.5 cm wide, with an 18.6 cm projection from the wall. Compare that projection with the available clearance beside an entrance or terrace door, including the door's opening path. This is a wall-mounted outdoor fitting with IP44 protection, a 230 V supply and protection class I.

A restrained lantern outline

A curved loop above the cylinder recalls a traditional lantern, while the straight backplate and plain rings give the design a more contemporary treatment. Wood imitation and anthracite provide a distinct pairing for exterior walls without using a timber body. The clear enclosure keeps the light source visually prominent rather than concealing it behind an opaque shade.
