TRIO WILLIS 449510207 combines a large ring-shaped light head with a separate reading light on a flexible arm. Its metal construction has a matt nickel finish, while the open centres of both rings keep the heads visually distinct from conventional solid shades. The two LED sources are integrated and can be switched independently.

Room lighting and a separate reading head

The upper module is rated at 39 W with a source output of 4600 lm. The smaller reading module is rated at 5.5 W and 550 lm. These are the outputs of the individual sources, not a declared combined luminaire output. Beside an armchair, the separate switching lets you use the reading head without turning on the main ring, or keep only the upper source illuminated.

The flexible arm changes the direction of the smaller head, so positioning its light towards a book does not require moving the entire base. The manufacturer identifies living rooms and bedrooms as applications. Its dedicated reading function also makes an armchair in a study a reasonable placement.

Choose the white tone and brightness

Both sources offer 2700, 3200 and 4000 K settings. These provide a choice from warmer to more neutral white without changing a bulb. An integrated touch dimmer adjusts brightness, while independent switching determines which head is in use. This is a fitting with built-in LEDs rather than threaded sockets for separately purchased lamps.

Allow room for the rings

WILLIS stands 180 cm high. The upper head measures 40 cm in diameter and the round base 30 cm. Check the available space against the upper ring and the reading arm, not just the narrow upright stem. Place the base and cable outside walking routes, particularly when using the light next to seating.

The straight stem, circular heads and matt nickel surface suit modern, minimalist interiors. The smaller ring repeats the main head's shape, giving the reading function a clear visual relationship with the rest of the lamp instead of adding a conventional shaded spotlight.
