VILROSA is a wall light built from two bodies stacked one above the other: a profiled glazed ceramic body in pale blue and an oval white opal glass shade above it. The arm and the round wall plate are white metal.
How much wall it needs
The fitting is 37 cm tall and stands 19 cm out from the wall. That second figure decides where it fits: in a narrow corridor it is worth comparing against the width of the passage, because the light reaches nearly twenty centimetres into it.
The shade is 15 cm across and 16 cm high, the ceramic body beneath it 12.5 cm, and the round mounting plate 10 cm across by 2.5 cm thick. The plate covers an ordinary flush box and carries the whole fitting.
The bulb you have to buy
There is one E14 socket and no bulb is supplied. The maker caps the lamp at 5 W, so an ordinary 40 W incandescent candle does not belong in it — only LED lamps at that rating fit the limit.
It dims, but the fitting has no electronics of its own: a lamp marked dimmable and a dimmer in the circuit are both needed. The colour temperature is chosen with the lamp.
Build and where to hang it
The body is glazed ceramic and the shade is glass, so the fitting carries some weight and wants a solid fixing — plasterboard needs cavity anchors. Ceramic and glass wipe clean with a damp cloth.
IP20 places it in dry interiors, so not beside a shower and not outdoors. The maker specifies it for the living room, the bedroom and the hallway — wherever a wall light adds to the lighting rather than providing it.
