OLSON is a flat Lucide flush ceiling light, 35 cm across and 4.7 cm deep: a half-round opal plastic diffuser on a white, matt spray-painted rim. The LED module is built in permanently — there is no bulb to buy and none to replace.
Size and how it is fixed
The diffuser is 35 cm in diameter and the fitting stands only 4.7 cm off the ceiling, so it takes no room height. The mounting plate is a 16.9 cm disc, 1.5 cm thick — it is screwed to the ceiling and the diffuser clips over it. Installation materials are in the box and the fitting weighs 0.7 kg.
The luminaire is electrical class II, double insulated, so no protective earth conductor is needed for the connection. It runs on 230 V mains.
How much light it gives and how to set its colour
The built-in LED module draws 36 W and delivers 2500 lm — roughly what three old 60 W bulbs gave (about 800 lm each). The 125° beam spreads light across a whole room rather than one spot; Lucide states the light direction as downward. A colour rendering index of Ra 80 is the usual figure for general room lighting.
Colour temperature is chosen with a DIP switch in the mounting plate, anywhere between 3000 K and 6500 K — from warm white to a cool, bluish light. It is set during installation, because the switch sits behind the diffuser. Lucide states control by an ordinary wall switch.
Where it can go
The fitting is rated IP44, protected against splashing water from any direction — Lucide intends it for the bathroom, and beyond that for living rooms, kitchens and offices. The manufacturer declares 25 000 hours of module life and 20 000 switching cycles, with a 2-year warranty on the fixture.
On the energy label the light carries class G at 36 kWh per 1000 hours of use.
