Zambelis 23026 is an LED ceiling light shaped as a slim ring 80 cm across, made of aluminium in a matt gold finish. The light comes through a white opal acrylic diffuser that runs around the whole ring. The ring profile measures 2.5 × 3.6 cm, so the fitting projects only 3.6 cm from the ceiling.
Size and installation
An 80 cm diameter is the figure to compare with the width of your room, or with the table the light will sit above. The manufacturer states that no cut-out and no void above the ceiling are needed: the ring is surface-mounted straight onto the finished ceiling, so it also suits rooms without a suspended ceiling.
The fitting connects directly to a 220–240 V mains supply. It is protection class I, which means it has to be connected to a protective earth conductor — worth checking before purchase in an older installation without earthing.
How much light and what kind
The integrated LEDs draw 50 W and deliver 2956 lm, a level suited to main room lighting rather than just mood lighting. A colour temperature of 3000 K is warm white, close to the light of a traditional incandescent bulb, and a colour rendering index of Ra 80 is sufficient for everyday room lighting. The energy label gives class E and a consumption of 50 kWh per 1000 hours.
The light is dimmable, but it needs a TRIAC phase-cut dimmer; on an ordinary switch it runs at full brightness. The LEDs are built in and cannot be replaced. The manufacturer quotes a lifetime of L70B50 30,000 hours: at three hours a day that is roughly 27 years, after which brightness falls to about 70% of its initial level.
Where it fits
This is an indoor-only fitting. The manufacturer files it under kitchen lighting, and its output and large diameter also make it a main light for a living room, bedroom, dining room or hotel room. The form is modernist: a smooth, geometric ring without ornament, where the only accent is the gold aluminium, and the white diffuser spreads the light as an even line around the full circumference.
