Zambelis 25281 is a recessed wall reading light with a short, movable cylindrical head and a square cover plate. Its metal and aluminium body has a sandy black finish. A switch sits on the front beneath the head, placing on/off control directly on the fitting rather than on a trailing cable.
A focused beam beside the bed
The built-in 3 W LED provides 145 lm of warm white light at 3000 K. A 30° beam angle concentrates that output on a selected area. The movable arm allows the direction to be changed, although the manufacturer does not specify its rotation limits. This is local reading illumination rather than a replacement for the room's general lighting.
A CRI of 95 describes the colour rendering of illuminated objects. A microprismatic diffuser covers the front of the light source. The fitting offers on/off operation only and is not dimmable, so it should not be chosen for a scheme that requires adjustable brightness through a dimmer.
Plan the recess before installation
The square plate measures 8.6 × 8.6 cm, with the drawing showing 4.1 cm in front of the wall. The arm measures 2.5 cm in diameter and 7.2 cm in length. Allow 3 cm of space behind the mounting surface. The installation manual distinguishes wall installation through a 6 cm diameter opening from box mounting with a 4.5 × 4.5 cm opening. Choose the applicable arrangement before cutting the finished surface.
The metal plate uses magnetic mounting. This fitting connects to a 220–240 V supply and must be installed by an electrician. Its integrated LED is not a conventional bulb for routine user replacement: the instructions reserve replacement of the light source for the manufacturer or a suitably qualified person.
For bedrooms and hotel rooms
The manufacturer specifies use in domestic bedrooms and hotel rooms. Wall mounting leaves the bedside surface free of a lamp base. The plain square plate and cylindrical head suit modern, minimalist interiors without introducing an additional decorative shade. Before installation, compare the switch position with the bed and check the direction needed to illuminate a book from the intended reading position.
