Stick All Black S is a ceiling spotlight shaped as a slim metal tube 42 cm long, finished entirely in matt black – without the gold tip of the satin versions in the collection. At the bottom of the tube sits a movable 2.2 cm diameter tip holding a G9 LED light source, which can be tilted to aim the light at an angle. It is the shortest ceiling light in the Stick collection.
Size and installation
From the ceiling to the end of the tube it measures 42 cm – subtract this from your room height to see where the light source will sit. The round ceiling canopy is 5.5 cm in diameter, so only a small disc shows on the ceiling.
The canopy is fixed to the ceiling with two screws and wall plugs. The terminal block has three terminals – live, protective earth and neutral – which makes it a class I fitting: the earth conductor must be connected, and the producer's instructions show installation by an electrician.
Light source
The fitting has a G9 socket and a G9 LED light source is included, so the lamp lights up as soon as it is installed. The lamp is pushed into the tip of the tube by hand and is replaced the same way later. The producer describes it as a ceiling spotlight: the light leaves the narrow tip at the bottom of the tube and lights a chosen spot rather than the whole room.
Where to fit it
The producer suggests a single spotlight by a dressing table, a mirror or a chest of drawers, where the movable tip lets you aim the light where it is needed. The Stick collection also includes longer ceiling lights (M and L) and wall lights, so several lengths can be mounted side by side in a row. The fitting suits bedrooms, living rooms, dining rooms, hallways and entrance halls, as well as hotel and restaurant interiors. A plain tube with no ornament in a single black finish is a modern form.
