Aldex Tubo 4 Brass Pendant Light 4x E14 1072L40

Tubo 4 Brass is a pendant light made of two one-metre tubes in a brushed brass finish, hung on cables beneath a round canopy and set at an angle to each other. Each tube has an E14 socket with an exposed bulb at both ends, so the lamp has four light points shining in opposite directions.

Size and hanging height

Each tube is 100 cm long and 3.2 cm in diameter, and the whole lamp covers an area of roughly 100 × 100 cm seen from above. From the ceiling to the tubes it measures 105 cm; the canopy is 13 cm across. For the tubes to hang 70–80 cm above a 75 cm table, the ceiling should be about 2.5–2.6 m high. The manufacturer states for the Tubo 4 model that the suspension length can be adjusted by an electrician.

With tubes a metre long, the lamp spans a large dining table or kitchen island well — over a table narrower than a metre the tubes will extend beyond its edge.

Which bulbs

The fitting takes four LED lamps with an E14 cap of up to 10 W each. They are not hidden by a shade but stick out from the tube ends, so their shape and colour are part of the look — it is worth choosing four identical ones. 2700–3000 K gives warm, slightly yellowish light that sits well with the brass.

Build and interior

The structure is metal and the lamp weighs 2.42 kg. The Tubo collection also includes versions with six, eight and ten light points as well as wall lights, and the Tubo 4 model is also made in white, black and chrome. The manufacturer intends the lamp for modern interiors: over a dining table, in the kitchen and in the living room.
