ALEXIS for 1-circuit tracks is a black spotlight with a conical body that narrows towards the track and widens at the light outlet. The outlet is 5.4 cm across and the body is 18.5 cm tall.

Which system it fits

This is a component of Rendl's 1-circuit track system rather than a stand-alone lamp: it has no ceiling canopy or wall bracket of its own and mounts only in that system's track. Before buying, check that you have or are planning a 1-circuit track — this fitting does not fit 3-circuit tracks.

The spotlight runs on 230 V with no separate driver. It weighs 0.18 kg, so several of them on one length of track add little load.

Bulb and aiming the light

The fitting has a GU10 socket and takes a lamp of up to 5 W. No bulb is included. The 5 W limit rules out traditional GU10 halogens (usually 35–50 W), so this fitting needs a GU10 LED lamp. Dimming is possible with a suitable dimmable LED lamp and a compatible dimmer.

The body tilts through 90° and turns through 350° around its mount, so the beam can be pointed at a specific spot — part of a worktop, a picture or a shelf — without moving the track itself.

Where it works

Rendl files this model under kitchen worktop lighting and industrial-style lights. The matt black finish and plain conical shape suit track installations above kitchen units, over a table or along a wall. The series also includes a white-and-black version for the same track and ALEXIS wall lights in the same shape.
