Rendl R12255 is a black, 1 m lighting track from the manufacturer's single-circuit 1F system. It supplies compatible luminaires and defines their layout; it is not a standalone light fitting. The open profile and visible conductor channels form a straight, undecorated line rather than a lamp with a shade.
Plan around a one-metre section
The track is 100 cm long, 3.5 cm wide and 1.8 cm high. Compare these measurements with the intended ceiling position and the width of the line you want to see. When planning a longer run, also allow for the connecting components and the power-feed arrangement. The track length alone does not describe the overall dimensions of a finished installation.
Rendl specifies both surface-mounted and suspended installation. These options place the lighting line at different distances from the ceiling. Decide on the mounting arrangement before selecting the associated system components, rather than treating this individual track as a complete kit for either configuration.
Match components to Rendl 1F
R12255 operates at 230 V and belongs to a single lighting circuit. The system manual states a maximum current of 16 A. Check the compatibility of luminaires, connectors and supply components with Rendl 1F: a matching voltage by itself does not establish mechanical compatibility with the track.
The rail does not emit light. Colour temperature, brightness and beam distribution depend on the luminaires and light sources chosen for the installation. Photographs showing a track with spotlights illustrate a system arrangement, not a statement that those fittings are included with this item.
A restrained black line indoors
The straight profile suits modern and minimalist interiors. The system can form part of domestic or commercial lighting, with the final use also determined by the selected luminaires. Installation must be carried out by a qualified person, and the manual requires the electrical supply to be switched off before work begins.
