BOGOTA LE41902 is a pendant light with a single amber glass shade, 27 cm in diameter. The egg-shaped shade is covered in a fine raised diamond pattern, ends in a vertically fluted band at the bottom, and rows of glass beads run round both rims. It hangs from a chain, and the ceiling rose and lampholder are dark brown.
Size and suspension
The maker gives an overall height of 120 cm, measured from the ceiling to the lower edge of the shade. To see where the shade will end up, subtract 120 cm from your own ceiling height — the result is the distance from the floor to the bottom of the shade. Over a table of the usual 75 cm height, compare that figure with the recommended 70–80 cm between tabletop and shade.
Light source
The light has one E27 lampholder rated for bulbs up to 12 W, which in practice means an LED bulb — a traditional 60 W incandescent exceeds the limit. No bulb is included. As a guide, an LED of about 8–9 W gives roughly 800 lm, as much light as the old 60 W bulb. The amber glass tints the light a warm honey tone.
Versions and style
The same BOGOTA light also comes with a grey shade as LE41901 — both versions share the same dimensions and lampholder and differ only in glass colour. Pressed diamond glass, a chain and dark metal give it a vintage look, while the maker files it among its modern pendants. With a single shade on a chain, it suits a dining table.
