Brinova SMAL CCT pendant light, oiled oak, 2×LED 34.3 W, 150 cm

Brinova SMAL is a long pendant light built around two parallel solid-oak elements. The oiled finish leaves the grain visible, while slender suspension cables connect the body to a rectangular ceiling canopy. Variant 1027404000000 measures 150 cm in length and incorporates two LED light sources.

Planning a double line above a table

The 10 cm width keeps the body narrow across a tabletop, but its length still needs to be considered when positioning it over furniture. Compare the 150 cm body with the length of your dining table or kitchen island and check the ceiling connection point before installation. The canopy is 40 cm long, 7.5 cm wide and 6.4 cm high, dimensions worth checking where beams or other ceiling features are nearby.

The manufacturer's drawing specifies a maximum overall height of 140 cm. An Up&Down system is part of the fixture. Above a table, island or desk, allow for both the ceiling height and the space between the light and the surface below. Its linear form can also define the position of lighting above a meeting table or reception counter.

Variable white light with touch dimming

The integrated LEDs have a combined power of 34.3 W. A CCT range of 2700–6500 K covers warm through to cool white, so this version does not commit you to one fixed colour temperature at purchase. The manufacturer confirms a touch dimmer for adjusting brightness. There are no screw-in bulbs to select for this integrated-source version.

The documentation describes direct lighting. Up&Down should therefore not be taken to mean that the fixture emits light both upwards and downwards. Colour rendering is specified as CRI of at least 85. When planning the lighting for a whole room, consider other fixtures and the furniture layout as well as this pendant.

Oak without a fabric shade

Straight wooden elements, exposed grain and the absence of a textile shade give SMAL a minimalist appearance. These features suit modern, Scandinavian and Japandi interiors. The wooden canopy repeats the material of the body, keeping the design consistent when viewed upwards towards the ceiling.
