Canto maxi kubi 2 wall lamp Grey Nordlux

Nordlux Canto Maxi Kubi 2 in grey is an aluminium outdoor wall light with separate upward and downward light openings. Its rectangular housing conceals the lamps from the front, leaving the light to emerge at the top and bottom. Designed by Bønnelycke MDD, the plain planes and restrained proportions give it a distinctly Scandinavian minimalist form.

Choose two GU10 lamps

The fitting takes two replaceable GU10 bulbs, which are not included. Each bulb may have a maximum wattage of 28 W. That figure is a permitted limit per bulb, not the actual power consumption of whichever LED lamps you select. Brightness and colour temperature are determined by those lamps rather than by the grey finish of the housing.

With light travelling in both directions, this is a wall-washing arrangement rather than a fitting that illuminates only the space below it. Allow room above and beneath the body when planning a row of lights, especially near a doorway or architectural projection. If the circuit will be dimmed, use dimmable GU10 lamps and a compatible dimmer. Two sockets do not establish independent control of the upper and lower light.

Check the wall space before installation

The body is 8.7 cm wide and projects 10 cm from the wall. Its packaging drawing gives a height of 17.2 cm, refining the rounded 17 cm in the datasheet. Compare these measurements with the intended position beside an entrance, on a terrace wall or on a balcony. The undecorated front suits contemporary façades without adding exposed bulbs or ornamental arms.

Permanent wiring and outdoor limits

This fitting connects permanently to a 230 V supply. Its Class I construction requires a protective earth, and built-in provision for parallel connection supports installations with several lights. IP44 provides protection against splashing water, but does not mean the fitting is dust-tight or suitable for immersion. The manufacturer marks this exact grey version as unsuitable for seaside conditions; do not extend the outdoor designation into a claim of resistance to coastal salt exposure.
