The small Cedar Point is a wall lantern by Quoizel, distributed by Elstead Lighting. It has a square body of cast aluminium in black, four panels of clear seeded glass divided by slender trim, and a low pyramid-shaped roof. The lantern hangs from a short arm fixed to a rectangular wall plate.
Size and where it fits
The lantern is 24.8 cm high and 14.6 cm wide, and it projects 18.2 cm from the wall. It is the smallest Cedar Point wall lantern — the family also includes medium and large versions, a hanging lantern and a post lantern. The small size suits a narrow strip of wall beside the door; compare the 14.6 cm width with the space between the door frame and a corner or downpipe.
It weighs 1.34 kg, or 1.64 kg boxed. Where there is no flat wall by the entrance, the manufacturer offers an optional corner bracket: C-BKT2-BROWN or C-BKT2-BLACK.
Weather resistance and installation
Quoizel designs the lantern for outdoor use and rates it IP44, meaning protection against splashing water from any direction — it can hang on the facade by the door, on a balcony or on a terrace. The fitting is Class I, so it must be connected to an earth conductor. Supply voltage is 220–240 V, 50 Hz.
Light source
Inside is one E27 socket for a bulb of up to 60 W; no bulb is supplied. The seeded glass partly obscures the bulb, so its shape shows less than behind clear glass. You choose the colour yourself — for an entrance, warm 2700–3000 K is the usual choice.
The manufacturer rates the fitting as compatible with dimmable lamps: dimming needs a dimmable bulb and a dimmer switch in the circuit.
Style
Quoizel says the Cedar Point collection suits anything from a rustic lodge to a craftsman-style cottage. The geometric glazing bars and the plain pyramid roof are what give it that character.
