Endon Cagney CAGNEY-3SC 3-Light G9 Ceiling Light, Satin Chrome and White Glass, Ø55 cm

Endon Cagney CAGNEY-3SC is a three-arm ceiling light combining a satin chrome finish with white glass shades. The curved metal arms hold shallow bowls that open upwards, with fine line detailing visible on the glass at close range. This is the three-light version of Cagney, rather than the five-light fitting in the same collection.

Allow for its fixed ceiling projection

The fitting measures 55 cm across and projects 43 cm from the ceiling to its lowest point. It is therefore not a flat flush light. Before choosing a position, compare that projection with your ceiling height and the clearance above any doors that open beneath it. Its rigid structure does not offer a cable drop that can be shortened to change the hanging height.

The curved arms and bowl-shaped shades give it a classic chandelier outline, while the satin finish and restrained glass detailing also suit modern classic interiors. Consider it as ceiling lighting for a living room, bedroom or dining room after checking the available height. The manufacturer's instructions specifically exclude bathroom installation.

Choose three separate G9 lamps

Three G9 lamps are required and are not supplied. Endon specifies a maximum of 33 W per lamp and permits G9 LED lamps. This is an individual lamp limit, not a fixed consumption figure for the complete fitting. Brightness and colour temperature depend on the lamps you select; the fitting itself does not provide a preset 2800 K light or a specified lumen output.

Dimming requires dimmable lamps and a compatible dimmer. Check both when purchasing LEDs: having a G9 base alone does not establish that a lamp can be dimmed.

Mounting and looking after the glass

Cagney is a Class I fitting and requires an earth connection. The instructions call for a sound ceiling mounting surface and care when tightening the rings that retain the glass shades. Disconnect the power before cleaning or changing lamps and allow 10 minutes for cooling. Use only a dry cloth as advised by the manufacturer; liquid and abrasive cleaners are not recommended.
