Etcher Large Pendant Light - 2 Light Sources - Black, Champagne Bronze Elstead

Etcher is a Kichler pendant in the shape of a long cone tapering towards the top, which the manufacturer likens to a champagne bucket. The steel shade is black, while the riveted vertical straps, the top yoke, the chain and the canopy are finished in Champagne Bronze. Underneath, an etched white glass diffuser closes the shade.

Size and hanging height

The large version is 45.7 cm in diameter and 57.2 cm high including the yoke, and weighs 5.5 kg. It hangs on 182.9 cm of chain with square-section links; shortening it during installation sets the overall drop anywhere from 67.2 cm to 250.2 cm. That range lets it hang over a table or in a tall, open room.

Compare the almost 46 cm diameter with the width of the table or worktop below — a 40 cm shade keeps its proportions over an 80–90 cm wide table, so this one suits a wider surface. The manufacturer specifies it for the kitchen; it is a Class I fitting and needs an earth connection.

Light

Inside are two E27 sockets for bulbs of up to 60 W each — the bulbs are not included. The steel shade is opaque, so the light leaves through the etched glass at the bottom, which diffuses it and hides the bulbs from people sitting at the table. The fitting is compatible with dimmable bulbs.
