Etcher Medium Pendant Light - 1 Light Source - Black, Champagne Bronze Elstead

The medium Etcher pendant from Kichler has a black steel shade shaped as a cone narrowing towards the top, with details in Champagne Bronze: riveted vertical straps, the yoke above the shade, the chain and the canopy. An etched white glass diffuser closes the bottom of the shade.

The smaller Etcher

The shade is 33 cm in diameter and 43.2 cm high including the yoke, and the whole fitting weighs 3.5 kg — noticeably less than the 45.7 cm large version. The square-link chain is 182.9 cm long and is shortened during installation; the overall drop ranges from 53.2 cm to 235.5 cm.

A 40 cm shade keeps its proportions over an 80–90 cm wide table, so 33 cm suits a smaller surface or a narrower table. The manufacturer specifies it for the kitchen. It is a Class I fitting — it needs an earth connection.

One E27 bulb

Inside is a single E27 socket for a bulb of up to 60 W, which is not supplied. The black shade is opaque, so the light falls only downwards through the etched glass, which diffuses it and hides the bulb. The pendant can be dimmed if the bulb is dimmable and the circuit has a dimmer.
