FAD MOD070WL-L8B3K is an LED wall light with a flat, round 12 cm shade mounted on a short arm at a black, round wall base. The shade has a milky white light-emitting face, and the housing is black metal.

Adjusting where the light goes

The disc tilts through 90° and rotates through 350° around the arm, so the light can be turned onto the wall, upwards or to the side without moving the whole fitting. It is switched on with a push button on the base, so it can be turned on and off right at the fitting.

Dimensions and mounting

With the disc set at right angles to the wall, the light projects 19.1 cm from it, and the disc itself is 2.3 cm thick. The base is 10.6 cm in diameter and 3 cm deep — a figure to compare with the wall box and the space on the wall. The fitting hangs on a bracket screwed to the wall and is locked with a screw. It is class II, so it needs no earth conductor, and it runs on 220–240 V.

How much light, and what kind

The integrated 6 W LED module gives 550 lm — less than an old 60 W bulb, which is light for the area around the wall rather than for lighting a whole room. 3000 K is warm white, CRI 80 means correct colour rendering, and the 120° beam spreads the light widely in front of the disc. The manufacturer lists the fitting as dimmable and gives a module life of 50,000 hours.
