Helva Double Basic is a white plastic bathroom wall light: two opal cylindrical diffusers extend in opposite directions from a single bracket, 42.5 cm long overall. The light source is an integrated LED module and the fitting is rated IP44.
How big it is and how it is mounted
The diffusers are 5.7 cm in diameter, the bracket is 10.6 cm high, and the fitting projects 10.5 cm from the wall. It can be hung vertically — two units then go either side of a mirror — or horizontally above the mirror. A cabinet bracket is included, so the light can also sit on the top edge of a mirror cabinet.
Mounting screws are not included; the instructions call for two 6 mm holes. The fitting is hardwired with 1.0–1.5 mm² cable — using the supplied cable or directly to a wall connection box — and is switched on and off from a wall switch.
What light it gives
The LED module draws 9 W and delivers 900 lm, roughly what an old 60 W bulb gave. 3000 K is a warm white, and CRI 90 means skin tones and make-up look at the mirror almost as they do in daylight. The light cannot be dimmed. Nordlux states an LED lifetime of 25,000 hours; the source is not replaceable, so replacing it means a new fitting.
Where it can go
IP44 means protection against splashing water from any direction, which makes the light suitable for a bathroom, next to the washbasin and mirror. It is protection class II, double insulated, and needs no earth conductor.
