The Helva Double is built from a single opal tube 42.5 cm long and just under 6 cm across, caught at its centre by a bracket in brushed nickel. The whole body stands 10.5 cm off the wall. The form is as spare as it gets — no shade, no bezel, no visible screws; the entire length of the tube lights, on both sides of the bracket.

Moodmaker™: a touch instead of a dimmer

Control happens on the fitting itself, through a touch switch on the bracket. A short touch flips the colour of the light between cold and warm; holding it dims steadily. The fitting has a built-in memory of the last setting, so it returns to whatever you left it on. In practice that means no separate dimmer in the wall box and no extra control wire — the whole function lives inside the luminaire.

Two colours: 3000 K and 4000 K

The built-in LED module draws 9.5 W and delivers 900 lm, with the colour switchable between 3000 K and 4000 K. At a mirror that distinction earns its keep: 4000 K reads as neutral and shows skin tones better for shaving or make-up, while 3000 K is warmer and easier in the evening. A colour rendering index of Ra 90 sits well above the market standard of 80 — at a mirror one of the more important figures, because it decides whether colours in the reflection look believable.

IP44 and class II — made for the bathroom

IP44 protection means resistance to splashing water from any direction, which permits installation in humid rooms, in a bathroom outside the immediate shower zone. The fitting is class II — double-insulated, needing no earth conductor, which simplifies installation in older bathroom wiring.

Vertical, horizontal, or on a cabinet

Nordlux allows for three arrangements: the fitting can hang vertically (beside a mirror), horizontally (above one), or stand on a cabinet — a separate bracket for that last option is in the box. The flexibility matters, because it lets you buy one model and fit it to the bathroom's layout rather than sourcing a different luminaire for each position.
