Italux Alma gold wall light with crystal shade E27 WL-40668-1-HBR

Italux Alma WL-40668-1-HBR is a gold-coloured wall light with a cylindrical shade formed from clear, faceted elements. Two rows of glass decorations sit within a metal framework, while a curved arm connects the shade to a round wall plate. Its steel and glass construction contrasts a gold finish with a transparent surround for the bulb.

Check the space around the fitting

The height is 18.7 cm, the width 10 cm and the manufacturer's stated length 17.5 cm. Compare all three measurements with the available space before choosing a position, especially near furniture or along a passage. Wall mounting leaves tabletops and floor space free, but the projecting body still needs to be allowed for in the layout.

Regular glass detailing and simple metal outlines combine a modern shape with a decorative glamour character. This is not a continuous opal shade, so the appearance of the chosen bulb remains part of the design. Gold describes the finish, rather than a solid-brass construction.

Choose the light source separately

Alma has one E27 socket and does not include a bulb. The manufacturer permits a conventional or LED bulb rated at no more than 40 W. Brightness and light colour therefore depend on the bulb you buy, rather than a preset integrated module. Check the bulb's physical dimensions against the space inside the shade as well.

Dimming is possible with a suitable light source. An E27 base does not make every bulb dimmable: the bulb and its control must be compatible. The fitting is designed for a 220–240 V supply.

A decorative addition to the room's lighting

Alma can supplement the main lighting in a living room, dining room or bedroom, or provide a decorative wall-mounted point in a hallway, corridor or hotel interior. Its compact size does not establish how brightly it will illuminate a whole room. Plan that using the selected bulb's output and the number of fittings. The IP20 rating does not justify outdoor installation or placement where the light is exposed to water.
