ARDE SILVER 1718 is a Keter Lighting ceiling light with five arms radiating from a round ceiling canopy. Each arm ends in an upright cylindrical holder in which the bulb stands in full view — the light has no shades. The metal frame has a mirror-polished chrome finish in silver.
Size and where to fit it
The arms span 50 cm and the overall height is 24 cm. That 24 cm is what the light takes from the room's height — subtract it from your ceiling height to see how much clearance remains beneath it, for instance over the walkway in a hall. The light is for indoor use (IP20) and is made in Poland.
Which bulbs, and how much light
The fitting takes five E27 bulbs, each up to 60 W. Bulbs are not included. Because the sources are exposed, their shape and colour become part of the light's appearance — a globe-shaped decorative bulb looks different from an ordinary pear shape, and with bright bulbs frosted glass is worth choosing to avoid glare.
Five E27 LED bulbs equivalent to the old 60 W give around 4000 lm together, enough to serve as a room's main lighting. At 2700–3000 K the light will be warm, and dimming is only possible with dimmable bulbs and a suitable dimmer.
Which rooms it suits
The manufacturer describes ARDE as a modern light and intends it for living rooms, hallways, kitchens and restaurants. The series comes in three- and five-bulb versions and in black, white, silver and two-tone finishes with gold or silver accents.
