LED Labs PROFI COB LED strip 24 V, 4000 K, 10 W/m, IP65HS, 20 m

LED Labs PROFI 16-2374-03 is a single-colour COB LED strip producing neutral white light at 4000 K. The manufacturer supplies this version on a 20 m reel. Its IP65HS construction uses heat-shrink sleeving around the strip rather than a conventional silicone coating. It is a light source for a designed linear installation, not a finished plug-in luminaire.

A continuous line with fixed white light

COB construction provides a continuous luminous band instead of a row of visibly separate light points. The manufacturer identifies the low D, Z and SOLIS profiles as options for an even light line. Allow for the 10 mm PCB width when choosing a profile: this is the strip substrate width, not the overall size of an assembled fitting with a cover.

The rated output of 900 lm per metre relates brightness to the length actually installed. The neutral white colour is fixed; this is neither an RGB strip nor a tunable-white version. A colour rendering index of at least 90 matters when illuminating coloured surfaces whose appearance depends on the light source's colour rendering.

Power and cutting planned together

The strip requires a power supply with a 24 V DC output. Consumption of 10 W per metre means the required power depends on the installed length. The manufacturer also recommends a power reserve. Brightness adjustment needs a suitable dimmer; the energy information sheet does not establish compatibility with every dimming device.

Cutting follows the marked 45 mm sections. Plan the individual lengths and their power connections before installation. A 20 m reel is not a statement that the entire length can be powered from one end without assessing the wiring arrangement.

Protection beyond the strip itself

IP65HS provides protection against dust and water jets, not permission for immersion. Connections, ends and the power supply need separate consideration when determining protection for the complete assembly. The sleeving is relevant where moisture and splashes occur. Blue Tape mounting tape is fitted to the strip, and this protected version carries a three-year manufacturer warranty.
