LEX SILVER is a single-light pendant whose shade is an open cage of thin metal rods in a silver finish. The cage has an elongated, faceted shape that tapers towards the top and the bottom, and the bulb stays fully visible through the gaps between the rods. The cable drops from a round, metallic ceiling canopy.
Size and hanging height
The shade fits within a 19 × 19 cm footprint, and the whole lamp including the suspension is 120 cm tall. Subtract that figure from your ceiling height — the result tells you how high above the floor the bottom edge of the cage will hang. Over a table, 70–80 cm between the shade and the tabletop is the usual spacing.
At 19 cm across, a single lamp takes up little room. If you need more light points over a longer worktop, the LEX series also comes with two and three shades, and in BLACK, WHITE and GOLD finishes.
Bulb and light
The fitting has one E27 lampholder and takes a bulb of up to 60 W. No light source is included, so you choose the brightness and colour yourself: around 800 lm matches an old 60 W bulb, and 2700–3000 K gives warm, slightly yellow light.
The open cage hides nothing, so the bulb becomes part of the lamp's look — a plain opal bulb and a decorative bulb with a visible filament give entirely different results. The fitting has no built-in dimmer: dimming needs a dimmable bulb and a dimmer in the circuit. The lamp is for indoor use only.
Where to hang it
Keter Lighting intends this model for living rooms, hallways and kitchens, as well as restaurants and cafés. The manufacturer describes the style as modern: a plain geometric metal form without ornament, where the pattern of the rods is the only decoration.
