Trysil 1061AL is an integrated lighting column: pole and luminaire form one 300 cm unit with a single arm reaching out 71 cm. The body is a 24 cm wide extruded aluminium profile, powder-coated in light grey RAL 9006.

How much light, and what kind

Two Cree LED modules in the arm draw 17 W together. The modules produce 2920 lm and 1719 lm leave the fitting, directed downwards in a diffused half-sphere, which suits lighting a park path, a driveway or a forecourt from a height of 3 m. ULOR 0% means nothing shines above the horizon. 4000 K is neutral white, and CRI 80 keeps colours natural.

The column can be dimmed with trailing-edge (TE) or leading-edge (LE) phase dimmers. The LED modules and driver are replaced by a professional service, and Norlys offers a service kit for them, so a failed light source does not mean replacing the whole column. The maker gives an LED lifetime of L80 102,000 h and L90 52,600 h, and 50,000 h for the driver.

Mounting and connection

Installation follows the manual supplied with the column, and the maker sells other accessories separately. The terminals take conductors up to 3 × 4 mm² and allow the supply to loop on to the next column (up to 3 × 2.5 mm²), with round cable up to 12.5 mm in diameter, so several columns along a road run from one line. It is protection class I and needs an earth conductor; installation and servicing are for a qualified person. It weighs 19.2 kg and ships in a carton 232 cm long, worth allowing for when taking delivery.

Build

The clear, structured polycarbonate diffuser is UV-stabilised and the fitting is sealed with silicone, hence IP65. Impact resistance IK10 is the top of the IK scale, which matters on driveways and in parks where a column may be knocked by accident. The angular modern form with its bent arm suits a park, a terrace or a driveway.
