Longitudinal connector 143101 joins two runs of SLV 1-circuit surface-mounted track into a straight line and **at the same time allows power to be brought in at that point**. White, 17.2 cm.

Joint and feed in one place

This is the difference from a plain straight coupler: a standard connector only extends a run, whereas this one **accepts the supply cable at the joint**. Power therefore need not enter at the end of the track — it can arrive in the middle of the run, wherever the ceiling outlet happens to fall. On a long run that has two consequences: no cable has to be led along the whole track to its far end, and current spreads from a central point in both directions, which reduces the voltage drop at the most distant fittings.

Why it is three times longer

A plain longitudinal connector in this system is 6.4 cm; this one measures **17.2 cm**, because it has to house a connection chamber alongside the coupler itself. That is worth allowing for when planning a run: at this connector the track is "occupied" for some fifteen centimetres and no fitting can be slid on there. The part is otherwise rigid — the two sections stay on one axis, which matters visually on a track read from a distance as a single line.

1-circuit system only

143101 fits solely SLV's **1-circuit** surface-mounted track, in which every luminaire switches together. Components for 3-circuit track, with its three independent circuits, are incompatible both mechanically and electrically — and the two families look similar on a shelf. If the design calls for splitting fittings across several switches, a different system is needed, not a different connector.
