Lucide DANZA black metal ceiling light, Ø40 cm, E27, 21128/40/30

Lucide DANZA 21128/40/30 is a black ceiling light with an open, globe-shaped metal shade. Curved rods cross around a single E27 lampholder, leaving the bulb in view. The bulb's shape therefore contributes to the appearance of the fitting rather than disappearing behind an opaque cover.

Allow space for the globe below the ceiling

This version measures 40 cm in diameter and 35.5 cm in overall height. It mounts at the ceiling without a hanging cable and is not height-adjustable. Before choosing its position, compare these dimensions with the room height and the clearance above furniture or a walking route. Here, a ceiling-mounted fitting is not the same as a shallow disc sitting almost flat against the ceiling.

The rounded shade projects beneath its mounting point. It can provide ceiling lighting in a living room, bedroom, hallway, kitchen or dining room where the available space suits its size. DANZA is not directional, so it should not be selected as a substitute for an adjustable spotlight aimed at a particular work surface.

Select the bulb and dimming equipment separately

The single E27 socket accepts a bulb rated up to 40 W. No bulb is included. LED bulbs are suitable, and Lucide recommends its decorative G125 filament bulb 49033/05/62. That is a separately purchased recommendation, not an item supplied with the light. Since the open shade exposes the bulb, consider its shape and light colour as part of your selection.

Dimming requires both a dimmable bulb and a compatible external dimmer. The dimmer is also excluded. Installing an ordinary non-dimmable bulb does not provide brightness control. The fitting operates at 230 V, and connection to the electrical installation should be carried out by a qualified electrician.

Black metal without a closed diffuser

The matt black finish and exposed framework give DANZA a modern appearance with an industrial accent. Its curved lines distinguish it from angular cage lights. You can see through the spaces between the rods, but the light source is not concealed behind a frosted cover. That distinction matters when choosing a fitting with a visible bulb. Lucide specifies indoor use and provides a two-year warranty on the fitting.
