Lucide ESTEREL Taupe Metal Pendant Light Ø25 cm 1xGU10 MR11 21446/25/41

Lucide ESTEREL 21446/25/41 is a single-light pendant with an open metal shade in taupe, a grey-beige finish. Curved rods trace a globe measuring 25 cm across, with spaces between them rather than a solid outer shell. The matt ceiling canopy and fabric-covered cable follow the same colour scheme.

An open globe above a table or island

The shade is 26 cm high, so allow for its vertical size as well as its diameter when planning the position. Lucide specifies a single pendant above a countertop or several separate fittings arranged in a row above a dining table. This lets you choose the number of pendants for the length of the surface. This particular version has one light point, not the three found in other ESTEREL configurations.

The repeated metal rods and simple spherical outline suit modern and modernist interiors. It can form part of a living room, dining room, kitchen or bedroom lighting scheme. The manufacturer describes the light distribution as diffuse and all-around, and the fitting is not directionally adjustable. Its open framework should therefore not be mistaken for a solid metal shade that sends all its light only downwards.

Set the drop before installation

The overall height can be adjusted before installation between 70 and 156 cm. Compare that range with your ceiling height and the height of the table or worktop to determine where the bottom of the shade will sit. This is an installation adjustment, not a mechanism for raising the pendant during everyday use. The round metal canopy measures 10 cm in diameter and 2.5 cm high. Installation should be carried out by a qualified electrician; this Class I fitting requires a protective earth connection.

A separately purchased GU10 lamp in MR11 format

No bulb is supplied. The fitting takes one GU10 lamp in MR11 format, rated at no more than 25 W; Lucide recommends article 49094/04/30. Brightness and colour temperature depend on the bulb you select, rather than being fixed by the shade. Dimming requires a compatible dimmable bulb and an external dimmer, which is not included. Installation materials are supplied, and the manufacturer states a two-year warranty on the fitting.
