The anodized silver LUMINES IPA16 is an aluminium LED profile designed to be plastered into a plasterboard construction. Its asymmetric section wraps around the board edge, separating the fixing area from the LED strip channel. Article 10-0494-20 is 2020 mm long, equivalent to 2.02 m.
Plan the board edge around the profile
IPA16 is intended for 16 mm plasterboard. The manufacturer's installation diagram also illustrates a 15.8 mm board and screws passing through the board into the mounting section. This arrangement belongs in the construction plan; it should not be confused with a complete luminaire screwed onto a finished ceiling.
The overall section measures 44.1 mm across and 23.4 mm high. Those measurements describe the whole profile, not just the light opening. Before forming the edge, compare the section drawing with the available construction space and the actual board thickness. The mounting flange and strip channel occupy different parts of that space.
BASIC covers and a separately planned light source
The profile accommodates an LED strip up to 12 mm wide and works with BASIC covers. The assembly drawing shows the profile, strip and cover as distinct components. The aluminium section does not generate light: colour temperature, brightness and control depend on the chosen strip and electrical system rather than the silver finish.
The power supply sits outside the profile, so its position needs to be planned independently. Check the cover against the BASIC family instead of selecting one solely because its appearance or length seems suitable.
Architectural accent lighting
IPA16 is intended for linear accent lighting in ceilings and walls. Its plaster-in integration and straight light line suit modern, minimalist interiors, including living rooms, kitchens and corridors. This is an architectural lighting component, not a promise of a particular general-lighting output. A bathroom installation photograph alone does not establish water protection for the assembled system.
