LUMINES VEDA is an aluminium LED profile designed to sit between plasterboard panels in a suspended ceiling. Its white lacquered RAL 9016 finish and curved central section distinguish it from a flat, single-channel extrusion. This 2020 mm version carries manufacturer code 10-0581-20.
A profile with two lighting sides
The VEDA construction places LED strips on both sides of the profile, allowing symmetrical light emission around its central axis. It is a lighting-system component rather than a complete luminaire with a fixed brightness or colour temperature. Those characteristics need to be chosen with the LED strips and power supply for the intended installation.
The manufacturer specifies compatibility with strips up to 12 mm wide. Compare the strip width with the system requirements before choosing a light source; matching the roll length to the profile length is not sufficient. DOUBLE covers are the compatible cover family. Their selection should form part of the plan for both lighting sides rather than being based on a similar-looking accessory.
Allow space in the ceiling construction
The full cross-section measures 152.6 mm wide and 42.3 mm high. Include these dimensions when designing the plasterboard installation. VEDA is a structural ceiling profile, not a narrow adhesive channel for the underside of a kitchen cabinet. The actual 2.02 m section length provides a clear basis for planning the run of individual elements.
Mounting springs are the specified fixing method. Areas intended to receive filler are left unpainted so that the compound can adhere to the profile surface. The white finish therefore does not mean every part of the extrusion has a lacquer coating.
Coordinate the VEDA system
The manufacturer describes suspended-ceiling use in residential and industrial buildings. Straight lines and an absence of ornament suit modern, minimalist designs that integrate lighting into the ceiling architecture. Choose VEDA end caps and suitable system connectors when planning ends and joints. A matching white finish alone does not establish that an accessory will fit this cross-section.
