Mantra OCEAN 8236 combines a ceiling fan with an LED light contour surrounding three blades. Its black body and wood-effect blades distinguish this version from the collection's white finish. Designed by José Ignacio Ballester, it has a flat, open arrangement that leaves the fan visible inside the illuminated outline.
Plan for the footprint, not just the height
The fitting measures 78 × 73 cm and is 22 cm high. This is not a pendant suspended from an adjustable cable, so compare both its fixed height and its footprint with the space available below your ceiling. The manufacturer's drawing also gives a 32.5 cm diameter for the ceiling base, a useful measurement when planning the mounting point.
Mantra specifies rooms of 13–20 m². Consider OCEAN for a living room, bedroom, dining room, kitchen or home office when you want general lighting and air movement from one ceiling position. It does not replace a directional task light at a desk.
Change brightness and colour temperature
The integrated LED lighting is rated at 60 W and supports dimming. Its colour temperature can be adjusted from 2700 to 5000 K, allowing warmer or cooler light without buying different bulbs. Mantra distinguishes the fitting's 4200 lm output from the LED source's 6600 lm output. These are not figures to add together, nor do they describe the dimming range.
Three fan speeds and a wood-effect finish
A 30 W DC motor provides three speeds, with summer and winter modes. The R00137 remote controls the unit. The fan moves air rather than lowering its temperature in the way an air conditioner does.
The manufacturer specifies steel and ABS for the construction and polycarbonate for the blades. Their wood-coloured finish is therefore not a claim that they are made of solid wood. The slim black contour and geometric composition suit modern or minimalist interiors; compare the contrasting blade finish with your furniture before choosing this black variant.
