Mantra SAL 6714 matt black wall spotlight, 1×GU10, with switch

Mantra SAL 6714 is a wall spotlight with one cylindrical head and a square wall plate with rounded corners. Both parts have a matt black finish. A short joint lets the head be repositioned, while the switch underneath the wall plate provides on/off control at the fitting itself.

Select a separate GU10 bulb

No bulb is included. The installation instructions specify one GU10 LED bulb rated at no more than 10 W. This is a limit for the bulb you install, not a statement that the empty fitting consumes 10 W. Allow for a suitable light source when ordering and check its specifications against the instructions.

Colour temperature, brightness and beam angle depend on the chosen bulb. SAL 6714 therefore does not have one fixed light colour or a fixed lumen output of its own. For reading or highlighting a picture, those bulb characteristics matter as much as the direction of the head. The manufacturer lists the fitting as non-dimmable. Its integrated switch turns the light on and off; it is not a brightness control.

Wall space and electrical connection

The wall plate measures 8 × 8 cm. The cylindrical head is 9 cm long and 6 cm in diameter. The drawing gives a projection of 12.77 cm in the illustrated position. Compare these measurements with the intended wall location and nearby furniture rather than assuming that a small wall plate means no clearance is required.

The stated construction materials are aluminium and iron. The installation diagram shows connections for live, neutral and protective earth. Protection class I requires a correct earth connection: this is a fitting wired to the installation, not a plug-in lamp. The manufacturer's input specification is 100–240 V, 50/60 Hz.

A single directed light point

The plain cylindrical form and geometric wall plate suit modern, minimalist interiors. Repositioning the head allows light to be aimed at a selected area in a living room, bedroom or passage. The final effect still depends on the bulb and mounting position; one wall spotlight does not automatically replace the general lighting for an entire room.
