Markslöjd MINI 106382 Bathroom Wall Light, Chrome and White Glass, 3 × G9, IP44

Markslöjd MINI 106382 is a bathroom wall light with three spherical shades in white frosted glass. The shades sit in a single row on a chrome-finished metal bar. Its rectangular backplate contrasts with the round glass covers, without decorative arms or additional ornament.

Allowing space above a mirror

The fitting measures 50.3 cm across, 10 cm high and projects 12 cm from the wall. Each shade is 10 cm in diameter, while the bar itself is 6 cm high. Compare these measurements with the width of your mirror and the space between its upper edge, any cabinet and the ceiling. The projection of the shades matters as well as the width of the backplate.

Markslöjd specifies bathroom use and recommends placement above a mirror. Three light points are arranged along the bar rather than concentrated in one central shade. Its IP44 rating provides protection against splashing water, but the chosen position must still meet the electrical installation requirements for that part of the bathroom.

Choose three separate G9 bulbs

MINI needs three G9 bulbs, which are not supplied. The manufacturer specifies a maximum of 18 W per light source and permits equivalent LED bulbs. Brightness and colour temperature therefore come from the bulbs you choose, rather than from a fixed, integrated LED module. When selecting them, you can match their light colour to the other lighting in the bathroom.

Dimming is possible with suitable dimmable light sources. Check that the bulbs work with your intended control arrangement before buying them. A bulb does not become dimmable simply because its G9 base fits this light.

Chrome and glass with a fixed connection

The body is made from iron and the shades from glass. The chrome surface reflects its surroundings, while the white glass conceals the bulbs. The straight bar and simple spherical shapes suit modern and minimalist interiors, particularly alongside plain mirrors and chrome details.

This fitting mounts on a wall bracket and requires a fixed connection to a 230 V supply. It is a Class I luminaire, so a protective earth connection is required. Plan the supply outlet before finishing the wall.
