Maytoni Fortano MOD089PL-08BS chandelier, black and brass, 8 × E27, Ø76 cm Promo Code - MAY20 until the end of Oct 31

Maytoni Fortano MOD089PL-08BS is an eight-arm chandelier with white cylindrical glass shades. Brass-coloured metal arms radiate from a black central stem, leaving open spaces between the individual shades. Rather than enclosing the lamps in one large shade, it spreads eight separate light positions around a circular footprint measuring 76 cm across.

Allow for the whole arrangement above your furniture

Compare the chandelier's diameter with your table width and the distance to nearby furniture before choosing its position. The arms determine its footprint, not the much smaller ceiling canopy. Above a dining table, the radial arrangement can mark the centre of the dining area; in a living room, it can occupy a corresponding position above a seating group. The same form is suitable for a representative hotel or restaurant interior when its dimensions fit the space and the lighting plan.

The manufacturer specifies a minimum overall height of 53.2 cm and a maximum of 75.9 cm. Use these measurements to check the clearance beneath the fitting. The separate 52.9 cm height shown in the product specifications should not be mistaken for the complete suspension range. Measure from the ceiling to the intended lower edge before installation, taking the position of the furniture below into account.

Choose light output through the replaceable lamps

Each of the eight positions has an E27 socket with a maximum lamp rating of 40 W. Check lamp dimensions as well as the cap type against the cylindrical shades. Actual brightness and colour temperature depend on the lamps selected: a brass-coloured frame does not establish warm-white light. White glass screens the lamps from side views and diffuses light passing through the shades. Maytoni lists the fitting as non-dimmable, so replaceable lamps alone should not be taken as confirmation of dimming support.

Geometric styling and ceiling attachment

Straight arms, repeated cylinders and the contrast between black and brass support a modern, modernist interior scheme. The installation drawing shows a canopy fixed to a mounting bracket, rather than a hook suspension. Check the appropriate attachment to the ceiling substrate before installation. As a Class I fitting, it requires the protective-earth connection to be handled correctly. The current manufacturer product page states a five-year warranty.
