Nordlux Ellen Mini table lamp 2213745007, purple, E14, 25 cm

Nordlux Ellen Mini in purple, article 2213745007, is a small table lamp with a hemispherical metal shade, a slender stem and a flat circular base. The matching finish brings these elements together, while the glossy shade highlights its curved profile. This is the compact version of the Ellen family, intended for supplementary indoor lighting.

Check the space around the shade

The lamp stands 25 cm tall and its shade measures 16 cm across. The base has a diameter of 10 cm, but the wider shade also needs to be considered when choosing a position. Compare both measurements with the space on a bedside table, sideboard or shelf, particularly where books or other objects will sit alongside it.

Nordlux also identifies window ledges and children's rooms as possible settings. Ellen Mini can provide another lighting point in a living room or bedroom without the height of a larger table lamp. Its clear cable is 150 cm long. Allow for the actual cable route to the socket, rather than measuring only the straight-line distance.

Choose an E14 bulb separately

There is one E14 socket, and a light bulb is not included. The maximum permitted bulb wattage is 40 W; this limit is not a statement that the lamp always consumes 40 W. Light colour and brightness depend on the bulb you select, not on the purple colour of the shade.

The metal dome directs light downwards. Nordlux describes a soft downlight, but this does not establish a particular brightness for desk work. The switch is on the cable and the fitting cannot be dimmed. Keep the switch accessible when arranging the lamp and nearby objects.

A restrained Scandinavian silhouette

The rounded dome and simple construction suit Scandinavian, modern and minimalist interiors. Metal is the primary material, with plastic as the secondary material. Designed for indoor use, Ellen Mini relies on its proportions and colour rather than decorative ornament to give it its distinctive appearance.
