NORLYS Asker MD1530CG is a rectangular outdoor wall light with upward and downward emission and a microwave motion sensor. This Cement Grey RAL 7033 version has a powder-coated cast-aluminium body and a transparent polycarbonate cover with an optical structure. Its plain, straight-sided housing suits modern, minimalist architecture rather than decorative lantern styling.
Light on both sides of the fitting
The opposing light outlets illuminate the wall above and below the housing. Asker is intended for exterior walls and façades, including a wall beside a terrace or balcony. It is not a spotlight concentrating all its output on one point. When choosing its position, allow for both directions of light rather than considering only the area beneath the fitting.
The integrated LED produces neutral-white light at 4000 K. Output from the complete luminaire is 328 lm, while the LED module itself produces 874 lm. Use the former figure when comparing complete wall lights: it describes the light leaving the assembled fitting. Luminaire power consumption is 9.4 W. The light source is already integrated, so there is no separate screw-in bulb to select.
Configure the sensor for the location
The microwave sensor works with a twilight switch and a hold-time function following movement detection. Factory settings are a 100% detection area and a five-second hold time, with the ambient-light threshold disabled. These settings need to be adjusted after installation to suit the location. The default configuration does not mean that the light will operate only after dark.
Wall space and installation requirements
The housing measures 22.5 × 11 × 8.5 cm. Check the available wall area and clearance for the projecting body before installation. Two fixing holes use a 180 × 60 mm spacing. The light operates on 220–240 V and is a Class I fitting.
IP65 protection depends on correct installation. The instructions specify a round cable of 7–10.5 mm diameter and warn against piercing the seal with tools. Additional accessories must be purchased separately. Replacement of the LED module and control gear must be carried out by a professional service provider.
