NORLYS Asker Pole Pro 5224BL lighting pole black 3 m LED 19.5 W 3000 K

The Asker Pole Pro 5224BL is a complete 3 m lighting pole with an LED luminaire built into its L-shaped head. The pole is made of two segments of extruded aluminium profile, powder-coated black (RAL 9005), and the light goes downwards through an external, sealed lens of clear PMMA.

Size and installation

Overall height is 300 cm, the lower segment is 230 cm, and the head's arm reaches 39 cm from the pole axis. The square base is 24 cm across with four holes for M14 studs at 180 × 180 mm, matching the B-50 concrete foundation. Ground anchor 180GA0009, concreting anchor 3091GA0009 and mounting adapter 1259GA0009 are sold separately, and one of them has to be bought.

The pole weighs 10 kg and its lateral area is 0.35 m² – the figure that sets the wind load passed to the foundation. The terminals take conductors up to 5 × 2.5 mm² and allow looping the supply on to the next pole; the gland takes cable of 8–12 mm or 10–13.6 mm diameter. It is protection class I, so an earth conductor is required.

What light it gives

The Philips Fortimo FastFlex LED module delivers 2660 lm out of the fitting at 19.5 W, or 136.4 lm/W. 3000 K is warm white. The Ledil VSM lens gives an IESNA type V distribution – light spreads evenly all round the pole, which suits squares, paths and driveways lit from a single point. ULOR is 1%, so only a tiny part of the light escapes upwards.

It dims on a phase dimmer of either type, trailing edge (TE) or leading edge (LE).

Build and service

The luminaire is IP65 and IK08 (5 J impact resistance), and the optical set itself – LED module plus lens – is sealed to IP67. Norlys rates the LED at over 100,000 hours (L90B10) and the driver at the same figure. A professional service replaces the module and driver with kit ZS5200zx0010, without replacing the whole pole.

The pole is intended for private grounds, parks and terraces. Its plain, angular silhouette without ornament suits modern, minimalist architecture. The parcel is 232.5 cm long, which is worth allowing for at delivery.
