Bollard Light NORLYS Kisa 5187AL light grey LED 27 W 4000 K 85 cm DALI2

Kisa 5187AL is an 85 cm bollard light: a round column 12 cm in diameter in cast aluminium, powder-coated in light grey RAL 9006. Two opposite sides carry elongated windows of satin PMMA that let out diffused light, so the bollard lights in two directions at once.

What light it gives

Inside are six Philips Fortimo LED strips totalling 23.5 W; the whole fitting draws 27 W and delivers 2637 lm. That is a lot for a bollard, as much as several old 60 W bulbs, so it suits wider paths, squares and driveways rather than just marking the edge of a walkway. 4000 K is neutral white, CRI 80. The light source is included, and the LED modules and driver are replaced by a professional service. ULOR 50% and the BUG rating B1-U4-G2 mean half the output goes above the fitting, so it lights the surroundings and people, not only the ground.

The DALI outdoor driver supports DALI2 control and NightDim. It leaves the factory set to maximum current; other parameters are programmed by Norlys on request through its sales department. This version does not work with a phase dimmer. Rated life is L80B20 over 72,000 h and L90B10 over 64,000 h for the modules, and 100,000 h for the driver.

Mounting and what to order separately

The bollard is bolted down through three ø9 mm holes at 120° on a ø65 mm circle. Nothing for the foundation is included: the options are concrete anchor 205, ground anchor 206, concrete-foundation adapter 206S and mounting adapters 3080GA and 3086GA. The terminals take conductors up to 5 × 4 mm² and allow loop-through to the next fitting (up to 5 × 2.5 mm²); five cores carry live, neutral, earth and the DALI pair, so a row of bollards can run on one cable. The gland takes cable ø8–12.5 mm. Inrush current is 21 A for 225 µs, which matters when choosing the breaker for several fittings on one circuit. Protection class I requires an earth connection.

Build and use

IP55 protects against dust and water jets, IK08 against accidental knocks. 6/10 kV surge protection lowers the risk of damage from mains surges. The bollard weighs 5.9 kg. The plain cylindrical form without ornament is modern in style; the manufacturer intends it for gardens, private grounds and public areas, and it also fits hotels and restaurants.
