NORLYS Kisa 5183AL bollard light, light grey RAL 9006, LED 14.1 W 4000 K DALI2, 85 cm

The Kisa 5183AL is a bollard light shaped as a plain tube, 12 cm in diameter and 85 cm tall, cast in aluminium and powder-coated in light grey RAL 9006. Light leaves through a satin PMMA diffuser set into one side of the body, so the fitting lights the ground in front of it while its back stays dark.

Where it goes and how it is fixed

Norlys designs the Kisa for gardens, private grounds and public areas, and our catalogue also lists it for hotels, restaurants and parks. Turn the diffuser window towards the surface the bollard is meant to light.

The base has three ø9 mm holes spaced at 120° on a ø65 mm circle. No fixing parts come in the box: Norlys sells a concrete-in anchor (205), a ground anchor (206), a concrete foundation adapter (206S) and the mounting adapters 3080GA and 3086GA separately. The luminaire weighs 5.81 kg.

How much light it gives and how it is controlled

The light comes from three Philips Fortimo LED modules at 4000 K, a neutral white that is noticeably cooler than a traditional incandescent bulb, with a colour rendering index of Ra 80. The fitting draws 14.1 W and delivers 1222 lm, roughly one and a half times the output of an old 60 W bulb.

The driver runs on DALI-2 with a NightDim profile and leaves the factory set to maximum current, so without a controller the bollard simply runs at full output. Dimming needs a DALI installation; a phase-dimmable version is a separate made-to-order build.

Build, wiring and servicing

An IP55 rating lets the bollard stand outdoors without any cover, and its impact resistance is IK08. It is a protection class I luminaire, so it must be connected to the protective earth conductor. The terminals take conductors up to 5 × 4 mm² and allow the next fitting to be fed through (up to 5 × 2.5 mm²), which lets a row of bollards run from one supply line; the cable gland takes a cable 8–12.5 mm in diameter.

The LED modules and the driver are replaced by a professional service, and Norlys keeps a service kit, ZS5183, for this fitting. Within the Kisa range the same body also comes at 3000 K (5182), as 8.8 W versions (5180, 5181) and with light on two sides (5184–5187).
