NORLYS Lillehammer 2292 is an outdoor wall light shaped as a plain, unornamented cuboid that shines downwards only. The body is powder-coated cast aluminium in beige grey, and the light opening is closed with clear safety glass and a silicone gasket.
Dimensions and mounting
The fitting is 18.5 cm high and 8 cm wide, and it projects 11 cm from the wall. It is screwed on through two ø5 mm holes spaced 45 × 130 mm apart. The manufacturer designed it for lighting walls and facades, so it is usually fitted as several units in a row, for example along an entrance or a terrace.
What light it gives
The light leaves in a single 60° beam downwards and draws a bright fan on the wall below the fitting. ULOR 0% means no light goes upwards, so the fitting does not shine into windows above or into the night sky. 2700 K is a warm, yellowish light, and CRI 80 renders facade colours without noticeable distortion.
The 2.8 W LED module produces 504 lm, and 105 lm leaves the fitting at a consumption of 4.5 W. This is accent and orientation light by the wall, not lighting for a whole yard or driveway.
Dimming, power supply and service
The fitting can be phase-dimmed, but the manufacturer specifies trailing-edge control only, so a dimmer of that type is needed. This is a protection class I fitting and needs a protective earth. The terminals take conductors up to 3 × 2.5 mm² and allow the supply to be looped on to the next fitting, and a round-sheathed cable of 7–10.5 mm diameter fits.
IP65 means dust-tight and protected against water jets, and IK08 stands for resistance to an impact of 5 J. The LED module and driver are replaced by a professional service, and the manufacturer supplies a service kit for them. The driver is rated at 50,000 h.
