NORLYS LOFOTEN 1939CB Copper-Brown Outdoor Wall Light E27 39 cm

NORLYS LOFOTEN 1939CB is an outdoor wall light with a rectangular, transparent enclosure standing above its mounting arm. This version has a copper-brown finish rather than a black one. Its body is steel: the colour name does not mean that the light is made from solid copper.

Allow room for the wall arm

The fitting measures 39 cm high and 19 cm wide, with a manufacturer-stated length of 29 cm. Compare these dimensions with the available wall space, the width of an entrance pillar and the swing of any nearby door. The enclosure sits on an arm, so placement needs to account for space in front of the wall as well as the lantern's outline.

Straight framing and a visible lamp recall a traditional lantern without ornate scrollwork. The shape can therefore sit alongside restrained contemporary details or a more traditional entrance. When coordinating several LOFOTEN lights, match the full 1939CB variant code rather than relying on the family name alone.

Choose the light with an E27 bulb

The fitting takes an E27 LED lamp rated at no more than 11 W. It is not an integrated LED module with a predetermined light colour and output. Check the chosen bulb's colour temperature, luminous flux and physical dimensions separately. Wattage alone does not tell you how bright the area beside the door will be.

The bulb remains visible through the transparent sides, so its shape also contributes to the appearance when the light is switched off. The upright designation describes the enclosure sitting above the arm; it should not be read as a promise of a narrow upward-only beam.

Prepare the mounting position

NORLYS specifies IP44 protection and electrical class II. Two oval mounting holes measure 5 × 10 mm, with 35 mm spacing. Other mounting accessories must be obtained separately. Before installation, check the wall substrate, cable route and manufacturer's instructions, and have an electrician make the electrical connection. At an entrance, terrace or gazebo wall, choose a position that keeps the projecting arm clear of the walking route.
