Nowodvorski MONO S 10780 solid brass surface-mounted ceiling light, GU10

The Nowodvorski MONO S 10780 is a single-light surface-mounted fitting with a cylindrical solid brass body. Its bulb sits inside the lower opening, recessed behind the rim of the tube. This is the brass version of the MONO collection, rather than a fitting described only by a brass-coloured finish.

A narrow cylinder mounted directly to the ceiling

The body measures 12 cm high and 5.5 cm wide. When mounted directly to the ceiling it remains visible below the surface, without the suspension cable or projecting arm of a pendant. Compare that height with the clearance above doors and built-in furniture before deciding where it should go. The tube is not a recessed ceiling fitting.

A single point can form part of hallway lighting or a wider scheme in a living room, bedroom, kitchen or dining area. When arranging several fittings, use the chosen bulbs' specifications and the area to be illuminated to guide the spacing. The narrow body does not, by itself, establish the width of the light beam.

Choose a separate GU10 R50 LED bulb

The MONO S takes one replaceable GU10 R50 light source. The manufacturer permits LED bulbs only, up to a maximum of 10 W. The package contains the fitting and instructions, but no bulb. A bulb shown in the photographs illustrates how the source sits within the housing; it does not mean one is supplied.

Colour temperature, light output and beam angle depend on the bulb you select. The 10 W figure is an upper limit, not a statement of the completed fitting's actual consumption or brightness. Check those bulb characteristics before buying, particularly when combining several light points in the same room.

Visible brass and restrained geometry

The uninterrupted tube, metallic surface and absence of decorative arms support modern, modernist and minimalist interiors. Brass remains a distinct material detail even within this narrow body. Direct mounting and a 220–230 V supply distinguish this fitting from a component intended for a lighting track.
