Berlin 615WH is a round outdoor wall light in cast aluminium, powder-coated white (RAL 9003). A horizontal band runs across the middle of the front, with a solid metal cap above it and an opal UV-stabilised polycarbonate diffuser below, so the light goes mainly down and to the sides rather than up into the sky.
Size and installation
The fitting is 27 cm in diameter and projects 14 cm from the wall, so on a facade beside an entrance it barely reaches into the walkway. It is fixed with two screws through ø5.3 mm holes spaced 170 × 45 mm apart.
The terminals take conductors up to 3 × 2.5 mm², and the supply can be looped through to the next fitting (up to 3 × 1.5 mm²), so several lights along one wall run from a single circuit. The gland takes round cable 7–10.5 mm in diameter. This is a Class I luminaire and needs a protective earth connection.
What light it gives
An LED lamp with an E27 base is supplied, and the user replaces it themselves; the fitting accepts A55–A60 bulb shapes up to 9 W. With the supplied lamp it draws 8.3 W and delivers 240 lm – orientation light for an entrance, steps or a path, not lighting for a whole driveway. Colour rendering is Ra 80.
It is phase-dimmable with both trailing-edge (TE) and leading-edge (LE) dimmers; in either case the dimmer must be rated for LED.
Where it fits
IP54 means rain and splashing water from any direction will not harm it, and IK10 is the highest impact rating on the standard scale – relevant wherever the light hangs low and within reach. Berlin suits gardens, building facades and the entrances of hotels and restaurants. The plain round body with a single band is a modern shape in a Scandinavian vein. The diffuser and gasket are available as spare parts.
