Paul Neuhaus PURE Vitrum 6083-34 is an LED ceiling light. A flat round shade surrounds the central light element. Body finish: dark metallic brown. The LED sources are included, so there is no need to select separate bulbs before using it.

Dimensions and positioning

This model can be mounted on a ceiling or wall. It measures 45 cm in diameter and projects 13 cm from the mounting surface.

The shade is made from opal glass. Its broad surface surrounds the central element, leaving a visible rim all around. Unlike an enclosed lampshade, this arrangement reveals its slim profile and central support when viewed from the side.

Warm light and brightness control

The LED sources are included and emit warm white light. The 2700 K colour temperature is fixed: this is a warm shade of white rather than a system for switching between warm and cool light.

Brightness can be adjusted using a separate TronicDimmer. This control must be selected separately, so allow for a compatible dimmer when planning the installation. Buying the fitting itself does not mean that a wall dimmer is supplied with it.

The complete fitting delivers 880 lm. This is the useful figure for comparing the brightness of finished lights because it accounts for the light leaving the body. Dimming reduces that output whenever full brightness is not needed.

The complete lamp draws 21 W. This figure describes its energy consumption in operation, while the amount of emitted light is expressed in lumens. These are two different pieces of information when comparing fittings.
