PUMPKIN S is a pendant light with an open cage shade built from vertical steel rods. The shade is elongated, tapers towards the top and measures 27 cm at its widest by 65 cm tall. The steel is lacquered in silk grey P026, shade RAL 7044.

How big it is and how high it hangs

The whole fitting drops at most 200 cm from the ceiling, shade included. Over a table top the lower edge usually sits 70–80 cm above the surface, so the cable normally has to be shortened — the manufacturer notes that the height is altered by a qualified electrician.

The ceiling rose is 15 cm across and 3.3 cm deep, and the fitting mounts on a bridge bracket screwed to the ceiling. It weighs 1.75 kg. Into the 33 × 33 × 75 cm carton the manufacturer packs the luminaire and the instructions.

Which bulb it takes

The fitting has one light point with a GU10 cap in the R50 format, that is a reflector 50 mm across. Wider ES111 reflectors will not go into the holder, so when buying a bulb you have to check the envelope diameter as well as the cap.

No bulb is supplied. The manufacturer permits LED bulbs only, up to 10 W — halogen must not be used in this fitting, and that is a manufacturer restriction rather than a recommendation. The fitting has one lighting section, so it all comes on from a single switch.

Materials and where it fits

The rods of the shade are spaced apart, so the bulb is visible through the shade and light escapes sideways as well as downwards. The reflector sits low, just above the open bottom of the cage, and aims its beam down onto the surface below.

The body is lacquered steel, made in Poland. The IP20 rating and the "indoor" designation confine the fitting to dry rooms — it is not for a bathroom by the shower or for a terrace. It runs on 220–230 V at 50/60 Hz.
