The LUMINES inTALIA profile in white lacquer is a 2.02 m aluminium bar, producer code 10-0231-20, made to sit in a milled opening in a ceiling or wall, including plasterboard. The section shows a wide flange and a channel for two LED strips placed side by side. The bar itself does not light: the strip, driver and cover are chosen separately.
Section to compare with the opening
The flange is 48.8 mm wide and the profile is 28.8 mm high overall. The lower body measures 35.8 mm across. The source channel is 32.4 mm wide and 17.8 mm high, which is the space for two strips of up to 12 mm each. The current datasheet does not print a separate milling size. Before cutting the board, compare the 48.8 mm flange and the 28.8 mm height with the board thickness and the planned slot, so the body enters the gap and the flange rests on its edge.
What this code includes
The package is one white lacquered length of 2020 mm. It does not include an LED strip, a driver, a cover, end caps, mounting springs or a mounting profile. The cover comes from the DOUBLE family and presses in from above. Lumines lists transparent, frozen, milky, milky frosted, opal and black versions, in PMMA or PC, including fractal variants. That cover decides whether the LED points stay visible or the line evens out. inTALIA end caps are aluminium and have a cable hole; they come in white, black and silver. A white cap matches this lacquer. The driver stays outside the profile, not inside it.
Fixing and joining the line
The datasheet describes two fixing methods: mounting springs, or TALIA M3 and TALIA M4 mounting profiles. Both belong to the inTALIA system, but they are sold separately. Lengths can be joined with a straight connector, a 90° angle, a 90° transverse connector, a 120° angle, a 135° angle or a 3×120° set, and with the TALIA inter-profile connector. The cable gland is a separate accessory. The profile is not rated for vehicles to drive over. Aluminium carries heat away from the strips; keep source power inside the limit on the current Lumines datasheet, because the printed dissipation figures do not state a reference length.
Dry rooms and the character of the line
IP20 and the lack of sealing keep this profile in dry rooms. It is not a bathroom, outdoor or splash-zone profile. Lumines points it at decorative and main light in ceilings and walls of offices and public interiors: an office, a study, an office building, a hotel, a shop, a restaurant, a corridor and a staircase. The same section also suits a dry hallway, living room, bedroom, dining room and kitchen when the opening is in the board, not above a sink. White lacquer and the plain rectangular section make a modern, minimalist line that is meant to disappear into a light ceiling rather than draw a dark metal frame.
