RENDL LEA R12587 is a white LED wall light with a rectangular body and an open centre. Its upward and downward light distribution makes the wall above and below the fitting part of the placement decision. This white version has an integrated 6 W LED source producing warm white light at 3000 K.
A low profile with a projecting body
The fitting measures 3 cm high, 11 cm wide and 14 cm deep. Seen from the front, it presents a narrow rectangular edge, but it does project into the room. Compare the depth with the available passage, furniture positions and the swing of nearby doors before installation. A small height does not mean that the light sits flat against the wall.
The white finish, metal construction and straight edges suit modern and minimalist interiors. The open centre distinguishes LEA from closed, cube-shaped wall fittings. Against a pale wall, the white body may provide less visual contrast than it does against a dark background.
Up-and-down illumination
RENDL specifies a luminous flux of 650 lm. The fixed distribution can provide supplementary lighting in a living room, bedroom or dining room, as well as a hallway, corridor or staircase. In hotels and restaurants it can complement other fittings rather than determine the lighting for the entire room. The 3000 K colour temperature is warm white, not the neutral white associated with 4000 K.
The LED source is integrated and included, so there is no separate bulb to choose for this fitting. A power supply is also included. LEA is not a directional reading lamp with an articulated arm; if the intended use is reading, take its fixed upward and downward distribution into account.
Preparing the installation
The light connects to a 230 V electrical installation and is a Class I fitting. The manufacturer's instructions require the supply to be switched off before installation and the work to be performed by a qualified installer. They also call for careful handling of the cover.
