Spot Light METTE 8341128 is a wall light with a white fabric shade and a chrome-finished metal arm. Its round wall plate and curved stem contrast with the simple tapered shade, whose open end faces diagonally downwards.

A 15 cm shade on a 30 cm-long fitting

The manufacturer's drawing distinguishes the fitting's overall length of 30 cm from its shade diameter of 15 cm. The larger measurement does not describe a 30 cm-wide lampshade. Overall height is 16 cm, while the circular wall plate measures 11 cm across. Check these separately when deciding how the light will sit beside furniture.

Compare the measurements with your headboard, sofa back or neighbouring cabinet before choosing a mounting position. In an entrance hall or corridor, allow for the arm and shade extending away from the wall. They should remain clear of walking routes and the opening arc of nearby doors.

Choose the E27 bulb separately

METTE has one E27 lampholder rated for a bulb of up to 40 W. The bulb is not supplied, and there is no integrated LED module. You therefore select the light colour and luminous output when choosing your bulb rather than accepting a fixed colour temperature or output built into the fitting.

The angled shade opening allows a view of the interior from some positions. Consider a seated person's eye level when setting the mounting height. This is supplementary wall lighting for a living room, bedroom, dining room or study; a particular reading-light level cannot be promised without knowing the chosen bulb.

Curved chrome and white fabric

The rounded arm and fabric shade combine a traditional wall-light outline with a contemporary metal finish. This supports classic, modern and modern-classic interiors, including hotel bedrooms and restaurant seating areas. METTE operates at 230 V and is a Class I fitting, requiring a protective earth connection. The manufacturer specifies a 24-month guarantee.
