TK-Lighting DORMA WOOD JUTA 11786 pendant light, 1×E27, 38 cm, light wood and jute

TK-Lighting DORMA WOOD JUTA 11786 is a pendant light with a cylindrical shade divided into two distinct bands. A light wood finish forms the upper band, while the lower section has a visible textile weave in a jute colourway. A narrow gap separates the two surfaces rather than presenting a single continuous drum.

Understanding the shade construction

The manufacturer describes the DORMA collection as combining light veneer with textile shades. The specification for this version also lists plastic, so WOOD should not be read as meaning that the entire shade is solid timber. A beige suspension in the Sabia finish and a slender cable keep the visual emphasis on the two-part shade.

The light measures 38 cm across in both listed horizontal dimensions, with a stated overall height of 165 cm. Compare these measurements with the width of your table, ceiling height and the clearance you need below the shade. The manufacturer allows the height to be changed by a suitably qualified electrician; this is not an everyday adjustment to assume from the appearance of the cable.

Choose the bulb as well as the fitting

There is one E27 lampholder for an LED bulb rated at no more than 15 W. The bulb is not included. Alongside the correct cap, choose the light output and colour temperature you need: the pendant itself has no fixed brightness or Kelvin rating.

Dimming depends on the bulb used. If adjustable brightness is part of your plan, check that the chosen light source is compatible with your controls. The fitting uses a 230 V supply and has no integral switch. The illuminated gallery photographs show one possible appearance, not a guaranteed result with every compatible bulb.

Where the suspended shade belongs

DORMA documentation names living rooms, dining rooms, bedrooms and corridors. Its hanging form also makes it an option above a table, subject to checking the installation height. The light veneer, beige weave and simple outline suit modern, Scandinavian, boho and japandi settings. This version takes its character from two contrasting finishes on one shade, rather than from decorative arms or a cluster of separate light sources.
