Trio CARDONA 649614532 LED ceiling light, matt black, 46.5 cm

Trio CARDONA 649614532 is a round LED ceiling light with a matt black metal body. Its broad dark ring surrounds a pale inner surface that remains visible when the light is off. This contrast is part of the fitting's appearance rather than an effect limited to illumination. This is the 46.5 cm version, not one of the larger CARDONA fittings.

A shallow fitting for a ceiling or wall

The overall height is 10 cm. With no suspended cable or hanging shade, the fitting projects less into the room than a pendant light. Before choosing its position, compare the ring diameter with the available surface and the location of nearby doors or cupboards. TRIO permits both ceiling and wall mounting for this exact model.

The circular outline, matt metal and absence of decorative arms support contemporary and modernist interiors. Against a light surface, the black rim has a distinct outline; a darker background reduces that contrast. The mounting surface therefore matters when coordinating CARDONA with other fittings in the room.

Colour at the fitting, brightness at the switch

The integrated 29 W LED source is included, so there is no separate E27 or GU10 bulb to choose. The manufacturer specifies a source light output of 3300 lm. A DIP switch directly on the fitting selects 2300, 3000 or 4000 K, ranging from very warm light to neutral white. The ordinary wall switch does not select these colour temperatures.

Instead, the wall switch provides three-step brightness adjustment. CARDONA is not compatible with an external dimmer. Keep these two controls separate when planning a replacement for an existing light: colour selection is made on the fitting, while everyday brightness adjustment uses the conventional switch.

General lighting without a hanging shade

This ceiling light can be considered for general lighting in a living room, bedroom, hallway or study. The stepped dimming changes the light level without changing the source. The number of fittings required still depends on room size and furniture layout; the lumen figure alone does not establish adequate light on a desk. CARDONA operates on 230 V and has an IP20 rating.
